The American Association of University Women was founded in 1881 to help women obtain a College education and to make the fullest use of their education. There are now more than 100,000 AAUW members in more than 1000 branches and 800 college and university partners in the United states. Today AAUW advances equity for women and girls, through advocacy, education philanthropy and research.
AAUW of Willingboro receive its official charter at the AAUW National Convention held in Washington, DC in June of 1961. Our mission is to further the national goals and initiatives while promoting and designing cultural, environmental, and educational programs locally.
Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university.
